Reliability and Operation Model for Renewable Energy Sources (ROM)

November 16, 2010,
4:00am - 5:30pm

Professor Andres Ramos of IIT / Comillas University, Madrid
The ROM model is used in the MIT Future of Natural Gas Study. Prof. Ramos will present the main features of this model, and some of its applications.
Andres Ramos is a researcher and tenured full professor at IIT / Comillas University. His research areas include operations, planning and economy of electric energy systems, application of operations research to electric energy systems, and software development. He is here this week guest lecturing in Mort Webster’s power systems modeling course. He also taught at MIT during the January IAP power systems modeling intensive session, and has been a visiting researcher at MIT. Please visit his personal webpage for more information about his research: http://www.iit.upcomillas.es/~aramos/.
