Economist Martin Feldstein will be the featured speaker at a Starr Forum entitled "The Challenges to the Global Economy." Feldstein has been cited as "the most influential economist of his generation." He is economics professor at Harvard University, president emeritus of the National Bureau of Economic Research, and former chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Reagan. Joining the talk as a discussant, is MIT Sloan School's Simon Johnson. Johnson is an expert on the financial sector and economic crises and served as economic counselor and director of the research department at the IMF from 2007-2008. The Starr Forum is organized by the MIT Center for International Studies.
