World Wide Views on Global Warming - At the Museum of Science

Joint Program scientists will participate in a panel discussion on environmental policy options that will be considered during the 2009 COP15 United Nations Climate Change Conference. Learn what laypeople from around the world think as the Museum presents the results of the first-ever global citizen deliberation on climate policy. In addition, you can share your own opinions and recommendations using live text messaging. (Event to be held in Cahners Theater - space is limited.)

Speakers include: Joan Fitzgerald, director of the Law, Policy and Society Program at Northeastern University; John M. Reilly, associate director for research at MIT's Joint Program on Global Change and senior lecturer and MIT Sloan's School of Management; Ron Sandler, professor of philosophy and senior researcher for nanotechnology and society and environmental Studies, Northeastern University; Noelle Eckley Selin, research scientist at MIT's Center for Global Change Science and Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change; and Greg Watson, senior advisor for clean energy technology at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) vice president for sustainable development and renewable energy, and director of the MTC's Offshore Wind Collaborative.
