When Science, Technology, and Politics Meet: A Discussion Led by Prof. Gene Skolnikoff

Professor Gene Skolnikoff will lead a discussion of the interaction of science, technology and politics. Prof. Skolnikoff is in expert in the field of science and public policy, especially the interaction of science and technology with international affairs. He served as the Head of the Political Science Department at MIT from 1970-1974, and as Director for the MIT Center for International Studies from 1972 to 1987. His research and teaching interests have covered a wide range of international subjects, including recent studies in global climate change and proliferation. He is the author of The Elusive Transformation: Science, Technology, and the Evolution of International Politics, an important new book on science and technology policy and politics. The seminar is sponsored by the MIT Model United Nations, and the Undergraduate Association Finance Board.
