Prof. Ernest J. Moniz of MIT will present an overview of the challenges presented to the energy system by climate change risk mitigation. Technology, policy, and business innovation needed to address this challenge will be discussed in the context of the Copenhagen Climate Conference of 2009. Specific examples of marine science and technology solutions for a low-carbon world will be highlighted.
